The Mahindra Tractors brand will be featured on the red-and-black No. 14 Ford Mustang®.
This happens to be great timing due to the changes for the Next Gen car number placement. Usually, the numbers are placed at the center of where the race car doors would be found. Now, the numbers will be nearer to the front wheel wheels, which gives sponsors more visibility.
When Will the Mahindra-Sponsored Race Car Debut?
The vehicle will first debut in the non-points Busch Light Clash at the Coliseum in Los Angeles, which takes place on February 5 and 6.
The vehicle will then be spotted again at the start of the racing season. Catch the race car in the 64th running of the Daytona 500, which will be on February 20 at Daytona International Speedway.
Is This Mahindra’s First Motorsports Venture?
While this is Mahindra’s first full-time venture into NASCAR, it is not the first motorsports venture.
There is a Mahindra® Formula E race team. Since the first season, Mahindra Racing has competed in the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship. Out of 84 races, the team has won 5. The breakthrough win occurred in the 2016/17 campaign.
Who Is Driver Chase Briscoe?
Chase Briscoe is from the Midwest, which is also the biggest market in the United States for farm tractors. He is a third-generation racer who got his start early on. Born in 1994, his first time was in a race car in 2001. He did exceptional – winning his first heat race and winning the feature event later that day.
In his rookie season, he earned 8 top-five and 17 top-ten finishes. This included a win in the last race of the season. Briscoe broke NASCAR Hall of Famer Jeff Gordon’s record for being the youngest person to win a 410 sprint car race.
What Is Stewart-Haas Racing?
Stewart-Haas Racing is a title-winning NASCAR team. It’s co-owned by Tony Stewart (three-time NASCAR Cup Series champion) and Gene Haas (founder of Haas Automation, the largest CNC machine tool builder in North America).
The organization is based in North Carolina and has plenty of victories under its belt. This includes two NASCAR Cup Series titles, one NASCAR Xfinity Series championship, and over 90 NASCAR races.
